{"id":6701,"date":"2019-10-03T04:56:46","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T03:56:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/progressiveeconomyforum.com\/development\/?post_type=events&#038;p=6701"},"modified":"2019-11-06T16:34:03","modified_gmt":"2019-11-06T16:34:03","slug":"the-multiplier-and-the-output-gap-roundtable","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/progressiveeconomyforum.com\/development\/events\/the-multiplier-and-the-output-gap-roundtable\/","title":{"rendered":"From false multipliers to &#8216;nonsense output gaps&#8217; &#8211; Roundtable"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 3rd, the Trades Union Congress and the Progressive Economy Forum hosted a roundtable on PEF Council member <a href=\"https:\/\/progressiveeconomyforum.com\/development\/author\/dr-geoff-tily\/\">Dr Geoff Tily<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/progressiveeconomyforum.com\/development\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/From-False-Multipliers-to-Nonsense-Output-Gaps-Tily-1.pdf\">latest paper<\/a>, &#8216;From false multipliers to &#8216;nonsense&#8217; output gaps&#8217;, where he presented the paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining Geoff Tily as discussant was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niesr.ac.uk\/users\/jchadha\">Professor Jagjit Chadha<\/a>, Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niesr.ac.uk\/\">National Institute of Economic and Social Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session was introduced and concluded by <a href=\"https:\/\/progressiveeconomyforum.com\/development\/author\/patrick-allen\/\">Patrick Allen<\/a>, Chair of PEF, and chaired by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuc.org.uk\/our-people\/kate-bell\">Kate Bell<\/a>, Director of Rights, International, Social and Economics at the TUC.
